Terms of Use

Effective Date: 2025

1. Introduction

Welcome to Sumwise! By accessing and using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Sumwise provides a platform that allows users to upload data in CSV or JSON format, which is then stored in Firestore. Our system analyzes this data using proprietary algorithms and OpenAI's API (Assistant) to generate insights.

These insights are displayed to the user in a structured format, but we make no guarantees regarding their accuracy, completeness, or reliability.

3. User Responsibilities

  • Users are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the data they upload.
  • Users must not upload illegal, offensive, or unauthorized content.
  • Users acknowledge that the results generated by Sumwise are for informational purposes only and should not be solely relied upon for business or legal decisions.

4. No Warranty & Limitation of Liability

Sumwise provides its services "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not guarantee the correctness, accuracy, or reliability of the analysis results. Users assume full responsibility for any decisions made based on the provided insights.

Under no circumstances shall Sumwise, its affiliates, or its partners be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of our services.

5. Data Storage & Privacy

Uploaded data is stored in Firestore and processed for analytical purposes. Sumwise does not share or sell user data to third parties.

We take appropriate security measures to protect user data, but we cannot guarantee absolute security against unauthorized access.

6. Payment & Subscriptions

Sumwise uses Stripe as a payment provider for processing recurring payments. When subscribing to a paid plan, users agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

We do not store or process payment details directly. All transactions are securely handled through Stripe's encrypted payment gateway.

Subscriptions will be automatically renewed according to the selected billing cycle unless canceled by the user. Users can manage their subscription in their account settings.

Refunds or disputes regarding payments must be handled through Stripeā€™s official support channels. Sumwise is not responsible for any transaction failures or payment processing errors caused by Stripe.

7. Third-Party Services

Our platform integrates OpenAIā€™s API for data analysis. Users acknowledge that OpenAIā€™s terms and policies also apply to data processing conducted by the AI Assistant.

Sumwise is not responsible for any issues, inaccuracies, or limitations in OpenAIā€™s services.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate user accounts if they violate these Terms of Use or engage in misuse of the platform.

9. Changes to Terms

Sumwise reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or on our website.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in a competent court in Germany.
